All Phoenix TM thermocouples are manufactured to the highest quality standards and conform to the ANSI MC96.1 special limits specification with accuracy +/-1.1°C or +/-0.4%. The insulation material and the plug terminations are color coded to conform to the IEC 60584 standard.
For temperatures up to 1000 °C and diameters of 1 mm or 0.5 mm the thermocouple sheath is a high temperature nickel-chromium-iron alloy (HT Alloy - Inconel®) providing resistance to corrosion and heat along with high strength and good workability. These thermocouples have an insulated hot junction (HJ) to ensure maximum protection against electrical interference from heating elements within the furnace. The thermocouple can be supplied in different MI diameters (0.5 to 3.0 mm – standard 1.6 mm) to suit the application needs, handling requirements and response characteristics.
For temperatures above 1000 °C the thermocouple sheath recommended is an Ultra-High Temperature alloy (UHT Alloy). The alloy is a nickel-chromium with 1.4% silicon which provides inert high oxidation resistance and strength at temperatures up to 1250 °C. Thermocouples with 1.6 mm and 2.0 mm diameter wire are available with the option to include AMS2750E and CQI-9 compliant calibration certificate.
Thermocouple design options allow either standard termination in the thermocouple plug or with a PTFE tail which is helpful when managing installation of high numbers of thermocouples in thermal barriers such as the TS06 & TS07 (Aluminium Solution and Steel Reheat Applications).TC64-100-K l Medium Duty Hi-Temperature 500°C Exposed Junction Thermocouple Type K, Glass Fibre with S/S Braid (7x0.2mm dia.) - 1.0m long

SW45 l Thermal view finishing software
PhoenixTM ‘Thermal View Finishing’ is a powerful, comprehensive yet easy to use software package designed specifically for the PhoenixTM Compact and Finishing ‘Thru-process’ Temperature Profiling systems. The software has been developed to allow not only control of the data logger but also permit the detailed review, analysis and reporting of the
thermal cure profile. Features supplied in the software program have been developed to allow the user to accurately determine that the paint or powder coating is achieving the correct cure to provide the required physical and cosmetic properties. The software takes raw temperature data and coverts it to useful information that allows understanding, control, optimization and validation of the cure process. The key fundamentals of the software design are:- Simplicity: Screen layout is clear, concise, and intuitive making the software user friendly, uncluttered and easy to use without compromise to the analysis detail available.
- Clarity: Graphical analysis tools allow efficient accurate process Pass/Fail identification. Detailed report options allow quick clear communication of profile information to customers or quality auditors alike.
When data is downloaded from the logger, the results are automatically saved in a database which can be organised in a logical manner for easy access to historical process data. Process templates can be constructed for each profile run. With a simple click, all saved Oven settings (Zones & Set-points), Product information (Probe locations on product image) and
fixed Cure analysis settings (Time @ Temperature or Cure Chart) can be attached to the profile. The Thermal View Finishing software comes with a unique graphical cure analysis function allowing instantaneous identification of cure performance against Time @ Temperature thresholds. To complement the profile data the user can add additional notes either on the profile pointing out profile features of interest or in the notes section which may allow complementary QA test data to be added. Customized report options allow the user to select the optimal format to present profile findings which can be printed directly or saved as a PDF which can be shared efficiently (via e-mail) to any interested parties. The analysis functions allow you to examine and assess all your critical process parameters in a fast uncomplicated way. For example, it is possible for the user to click and drag 'inspection areas' to any point within the profile so calculations like 'time at temperature' and maximum and minimum temperatures' can be made within specific areas rather than across the whole process.
